How POKE64 handles local files, optional network features and Apple-provided services.

Last updated: August 20, 2026

Overview

POKE64 is designed primarily as a local emulator. It does not require a POKE64 developer account to run the emulation features, and copyrighted Commodore ROMs, firmware and commercial media are not provided by the app.

Files you import

Disk, tape, cartridge, program, firmware, save-state and related files that you choose to import are used to provide emulation features and are stored within the app's local storage or locations you explicitly select through Apple system interfaces. POKE64 does not need to upload those files to a developer-operated server in order to emulate them.

Optional network features

If you use a feature that intentionally connects emulated software to a remote system, such as the virtual modem, data may be transmitted to the network destination you choose. That destination is independent of POKE64 and may have its own privacy practices.

App Store, TestFlight and purchases

Apple may process information when you download POKE64 from the App Store, participate through TestFlight, submit diagnostics to Apple, or make an in-app purchase through StoreKit. Payment details are handled by Apple; POKE64 receives only the purchase information required by Apple's APIs to determine entitlement status.

Support

If you contact support through GitHub or by email, the information you choose to provide is processed by the relevant service and used to answer the support request or investigate the reported problem.

Changes

This policy may be updated as POKE64 gains new features or distribution channels. The date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
